Combo fix

I have done the malware removal thread, read and run me first..
have gotten down to combo fix, it will not run..
I have the following error when I try to run it..

some files could not be created.
Please close all applications and reboot windows
then restart again..

I have rebooted several times today trying to get it to run.

running Windows Vista OS..
Thanks for any help in getting this to run.

it was infected with a virus/trojan. the first 3 might have taken care of it, as
I have not gotten any of the popups that I was getting this morning..so far
"knocks on wood"

hmm now to add the attachments after I find the logs again .. I know how to
run and find things on Windows XP.. now to learn a whole new OS.. :eek

And I obviously don't know where the log report is for spybot sorry guys,
if you can help me find it... please.. le sighs.. and will post the MBAM as soon
as I find it also.. boy a few blond moments today and a 4 yr old..

Welcome to Major Geeks!

We don't ask for or need a log from Spybot, but we do need the below other logs requested in the READ & RUN ME;

MBAM

ComboFix

MGlogs.zip from MGtools

Just follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME which explain how to get the logs and where they will be. You said you had a problem with ComboFix. Have you disabled UAC as requested and rebooted afterwards? Also have you shutdown all protection software to the best of your ability?
