Combofix broke symantec

Hello Friends,
I ran Combofix on Vista to get rid of some malware. It did it's job at first, but I took it too far. I ran it a 2nd time with these commands (which I got from a forum):

Folder::
c:\programdata\Norton
c:\programdata\Symantec
c:\programdata\NortonInstaller
DirLook::
c:\users\Mike\AppData\Local\cgktqwiep

I watched it run. It did some stuff, deleted Symantec Endpoint Protection files and folders, then rebooted. After log in, it attempted to reinstall Symantec, but failed. It keeps looking for the install file - SymantecAntiVirus.msi, but it is not where it thinks it is... and, I don't have the CD. On every reboot, it tries this and I can NOT make it stop. Any tips on how to make it stop trying to reinstall? (other than tracking down a CD)

I'm sorry but ComboFix did not break Symantec! You did.

I'm not sure why you are posting here. This is not a malware problem. It is a problem you created for yourself by

Using a tool that you should not be using on your own

Deleting some your antivirus programs folders and then not expecting repercussions. Why would you delete folders for your AV? If you wanted to remove it, you should have uninstalled it.

Potentially you could restore what you deleted with ComboFix if you have not deleted the ComboFix backups in the QooBox folder.

Otherwise you may have to finish completely uninstalling Norton by trying to use their uninstaller
