combofix Help Please

    I have several viruses on my computer. I ran malwarebytes, webroot and they took care of the rogue virus but not redirect virus.

    Stupidly, I used combofix without help. Now my computer is all screwed up. Combofix ran for over 8 hours and did not complete. So, I stopped it and rebooted.

    Now, I just want to get rid of combofix. I tried uninstalling combofix in run prompt.

    Any other suggestions?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    If all you want to do is uninstall ComboFix, you just need to have the executable on your Desktop and do the below:
    • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
    • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
      • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
      • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
