combofix locks up after restore point

I am going through the" Read & run me first" thread, and have hit a stone wall with Combofix. It said there was an update available, so I downloaded it. It did the restore point with no problem. It has now set in the Scanning screen for about 40 minutes with nothing happening. In addidtion, the little indicator that my harddrive is being accessed hasn't blinked since the restore point.

Do I just skip this and go on, or is there something I'm missing?

Duh. Never mind. "Search" appeared after I logged in, so I did. I'll continue as directed in other posts.
