Combofix made stop error c000021a

I was trying to run through the malware steps (thanks to redirects from google searches) to get logs to post in the malware forum and after running combofix, explorer.exe crashed after combofix showed me the log in made. (standard ms error box with send or don't send. and my screen was blank except for the error box and the log in notepad.) I looked through the log briefly and saw that explorer.exe and winlogon.exe were infected so I'm guessing combofix moved these file somewhere and xp can't find them now. I can't boot to any of the f8 options, no safe mode, no command prompt, no last known, no normal. I gives me BSOD stop error c000021a 0xc0000005. I have't tried the recovery console yet, but I'm guessing if I can restore one or both of those files it might boot. Can I do this in the recovery console, if so how? I can't seem to find the steps via searching the net.

 

Got 'er to boot up again by hooking the hard drive into another system and copying the explorer.exe and winlogon.exe files over. Back to malware scanning Definately still something in there as it just has a constant stream of network traffic over my ethernet.
