    Hi,

I am following chaslang's instructions step-by-step (Malware Removal Guide) and I've been doing fine until I tried to use combofix.

I shut down all antivirus and antispyware software, and I renamed the file as recommended.

When I try typing the recommended string ("%userprofile%\desktop\cf.exe" /killall) into the "run" box, I get the following message:

    Windows cannot find 'C:\Documents_and_Settings\Compaq_Administrator\desktop\cf.exe
Then it tells me to check my spelling or try searching for a file, etc.

I can see the file on the desktop, which I have renamed cf.exe as recommended. Can you provide any clues?

    Cheers...

Just try double clicking the desktop .exe ...if no luck, do the rest of the instructions and attach those logs.

Are you sure that you renamed it properly? Did you enable viewing of file extensions as requested in the READ ME? If not, you may not have the file named to what you think it is. Also is your Desktop the Compaq_Administrator\desktop
