ComboxFix question

First of all I want to say that this forum is awesome and I have probably cleaned about 10 pc's using the posted commands and I thank you all.
I do have a question though. I am a little confused w/Combo Fix....When exactly is the "kill all" command needed? I have run this app numerous times and assume that this and other Apps basically kills everthing. I closley look at the hijack this scan and delete what is nessacary. I hate to have to post my logs when I know how busy the team is here. Typically after I run every step, I usually do not need to go further but now I think I maybe leaving malware behind? Should I post my logs regardless? Also should'nt the Combfix undelete command be posted w/the How to install?

The KILLALL command is used to shutdown as many processes as possible so that when you try to delete folders, files, drivers, registry entries, etc; nothing gets in the way of ComboFix.

Combofix is a really good utility but it's not perfect as there are items it deletes that it should not and there are items it misses. It is a huge benefit because it saves a lot of time removing a ton of common baddies however some of the more advanced infections such as rootkits and persistent trojans it helps by displaying some of the items in the log. The combination of the tools we recommend doesn't necessarily catch everything but it will catch the majority of the infections as it shows a ton of information from a bunch of different locations.

HJT back in the day was a very helpful utility because it showed a variety of items and would remove most of them however today it's becoming more and more useless due to the stealth of the newer infections. HJT is still a helpful utility but due to the stealth of certain malware other utilities and tools are better to use.
