   I am confused how Comodo BOClean works to protect my computer from Malware, Spyware etc, there is no scan. Help would be great

   Scanning is not the same thing as active protection. A scanner (like Ad-Aware SE Personal or Spybot without Teatimer) provides only after the fact scanning and no protection from getting malware to begin with. Comodo BOClean is primarily meant to stop the infection from getting on your PC to begin with.
