Hey guys, me again- your somehow by computer-technic taunted Dutchie ;)

I was trying to get my copy of Comodo on my XP computer updated. Well; that's not happening. I am getting an error code, and I cannot sort out what it is from. I tried searching it via Google, but a truckload of various pages popped up,but none what I was looking - I think.

Anyway, I wrote down the error code, and am wondering if anyone knows what I can or can't do about it. THe following code is from the error: 0x80072f7d

Hope anyone is familiar with it :S
    Thank you, in advance :)

It's possible that Comodo has stopped supporting XP.

According to the Comodo website XP is supported.

It's probably a net connection error. If you flush the dns cache then restart system and try again.

To clear your DNS cache if you use Windows XP, 2000, or Vista®, perform the following steps:

    1. Click Start.
    2. On the Start menu, click Run....
      • If you do not see the Run command in Vista, enter run in the Search bar.
    3. Run the following command in the Run text box:

      ipconfig /flushdns
If the command succeeds, the system returns the following message:

Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

    Still same error code.
Just noticed it mentioned something about Service Channel?

We'd need to know the exact verbatim message. If you can take a focussed screenshot of just the error message (using alt + PrtScr combo).

    Let's see if it cooperates.

Ok - that isn't a focussed screenshot via alt + prt scr. But you need to click on the Comodo window far right top icon '?' > Support > Diagnostics and let it scan for problems.

Apologies for that :S Not firing on all cylinders - diesel engine, so to speak.

I have a couple of those report files, I just found out.
Hope it helps, added the latest.

Before it asked you to 'create report' it would have said whether any problems were found, or not.

It only said it found errors, could not fix them and had created an report.

Then you need to try a clean reinstall.
Download a new set up file, run it and it will ask you to choose options including 'repair'.
