comodo porb

hey comodo has locked me out of the program. i uninstalled it and it dosent show up in add remove programs, but its still in my program files. i cant find it in my win task manager to shut it off.

i hope someone didnt hack me. i dont think i put a password on it. it dosent ask for one sooooooooooo

 

Does its shield still appear in your Taskbar?
If so, right click on it then click Exit.Should be able to remove then.

 

I'm not sure which Comodo program you're referring to. I know that BOclean had an option where you could hide it from the task manager and keep it out of the system tray. When I saw these options, I thought "how the heck do you access it or shut it down if it's totally hidden?". If your problem is with BOclean:

Back when I ran BOclean, I remember reading about how to access the settings if you set everything to 'hidden' but I can't seem to find that info now. rolleyes If/when I do find it, I'll post it...unless you're not using BOclean LOL

(BTW- BOclean support has been discontinued by Comodo since its features have been built into Comodo Internet Security, but Comodo still has the stand-alone BOclean available for download at their web site)

no the sheild is not in my task bar, it disapeared a few days ago. i dont think i have bioclean installed. i have surf shield and the firewall installed(sorry).

 

i like comodo other than when you download something you have to hit ok half a dozen times. i just want to get it fixed, and try to figure out what i did. i put some programs in my safe file in comodo and a game im playing wouldnt run. i put the comodo files in there and maybe it decided i didnt need to be in there any more and hide the icon. idk. im not a programer, i just know enough to get myself in trouble lol

 

hey i looked for cfp.exe cmdagent.exe in task manager and neither one were in there. i also looked in local services, comodo isnt running in local services.

 

hey comodo is listed in local services. the only thing highlighted when you click on comodo is start. when you click on start it wont start

 

windows services=local services. its there and its not running. when i try to start it, it wont start

thanks for your help. i fixed it. i put my comp in safe mode and logged in as adm. i didnt know there was an adm set on my comp but i guess there was. i dont know if xp did it or i did. is that sop? anywho uninstalled and reinstalled. good to go
