I come here from the malware removal forum, since it seems that my comp is clear of the malware it had. However it seems that the malware left my comp in really bad shape (or there still is malware).

The comp boots up and until the user selection screen everyting is kind of normal because sometimes it doesn't load, once I select my user it takes a really long time to load compared to what I've been used to. While doing the scans that the malware removal forum explains on some of the scans the comp goes to a black screen (I have two monitors connected to the comp) and the other monitor goes to standby mode like it wasn't receiving a signal. I have to reboot the comp this sometimes happens when its loading the user preferences normally.

I've also gotten blue screens with the following:

this one I got it while I was in safe mode
    stop: 0x000000f4 (0x00000003, 0x8A6E2850, 0x8A6E29C4, 0x8060577e)

this one I got it while the comp was loading windows (before the user selection screen)
    stop: 0x0000007E (0x00000006, 0x806B2101, 0xF789E6E4, 0xF789E3E0)

this one I got it while the comp was loading windows (before the user selection screen)
    stop: 0x000000ED (0x8AA739F0, 0xC000000E, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

this one I got it while the comp was loading windows (before the user selection screen)
    stop: 0x000000ED (0x8AA77c68, 0xC000000E, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

this one I got it while I was in safe mode
    stop: 0x000000F4 (0x00000003, 0x8A804630, 0x8A8047A4, 0x8060577e)

is it still a malware? did it "brake" my comp?

The comp has win XP sp3

    Not really.
    Here's what F4 means
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;330100
You're computer isn't resuming from standby.

    Here's what 7E means
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=321637&sd=RMVP if you are running a joystick
    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=313050&sd=RMVP at shutdown of XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=900485&sd=RMVP this is for SP2 and is from 2005
    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839641&sd=RMVP disconnecting a CF adapter
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=327863&sd=RMVP have a USB hub connected?

there are more but the others are even further removed from being applicable to you.

    Last ED
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=297185&sd=RMVP restarting your computer or upgrading to XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=315403&sd=RMVP from 2002 and deals with XP SP1

Again, nothing I found seems like it has anything to do with your situation.
I only suggested testing the memory with MemTest 86+ (way better than other programs) simply because stop errors all over the place indicate failing RAM.
    I'm out of ideas.

I've been reading thru some of the posts. Not very good sometimes on registry. One thing caught my eye on one post. -> This problem started I think when I installed a game, I didn't notice it too much didn't like the game so I deleted it.

How did you delete it? Un-install it thru the control panel? Or click on the program and just chose delete. When a program installs. It installs using shared files. To share with other programs on use at the same time.

If you deleted it, might of been you deleted a shared file.

I'd wait for others more knowadgable than I am on this. For my responce if they think it would be a good thing to do on a repair. I'm thinking you do have the XP disk as a home build. This link is how it's done. Read all of it before you procede and wait for the replys from other more knowadadgleable than I am if recomended by them. When and if you do it. I'd dis-connect the 2nd monitor, printer, ect. Basic computer, 1 monitor, mouse & keyboard.

    -> http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Also pay attention to the hard drives are in-expencive today. If you put in a new hard drive, re-install, and didn't mess with the old drive. You can access it later as a slave drive to get any info you have on the old drive. My 2 pennys thoughts.

the way I deleted the game was through uninstall, and as I said my comp did have malware and infected files.

supposedly my comp is clean now, but I can't get it to run normally. Either its still infected or the malware/virus left my comp with lots of errors...

Have you done a chkdsk recently?

I would try that My Computer>Right-click C: drive and select Properties>Tools tab>Check for errors button>Check both boxes and restart the computer to let it run.

Many times, as I'm writing now I'm doing a checkdisk. Do you know if it logs what it did? I would like to know if its purely the malware that's doing the problem or if my HD is dying (hopefully not)

Chkdsk doesn't create a log as far as I know. If you've already run it recently then unless it keeps telling you it has fixed errors then the filesystem is OK.

It couldn't hurt to run the manufacturer's HD diagnostic to see if the HD is OK. Here is a list of utilities by manufacturer. I usually run both the short and long test just to be sure.

One suggestion would be to go into msconfig and disable all startups. Reboot and see if you still have the issues. Re-enable two items at a time, rebooting until you find the one that may be the cause.

no success as of yet, it seems my comp is still infected... ran combofix and it found a rootkit infection...

Attach the log and run this:

    TDSSkiller - How to run

And attach that log when it is done.

I ran it later and it said it was clean, it weird, since the first time I installed it (when it was recommended on the other thread) it did found a root kit infection, later it said it was clean, then combofix found this one...

I would still like to see the combo log. Even if afterward you ran TDSSKiller and it came up clean.

What about safe mode? Can you operate in safe mode for any length of time?

Turns out the HD is bad, I ran the test for the drive, so I've decided to erase the disk and for now reinstall everything...

    Thanx for all the help

    Cheers

How did you determine that? Combo found a bootkit infection and cleaned it, which could have been the cause of your BSOD's.

I ran the hd diagnostic sofware from one of the links and ran a scan... I was thinking of doing a reinstal for temporary use since I don't have any important info on the main drive but now it doesn't even let me prepare the HD for reinstalation...

That ain't good. It won't format? If not, then it could be time for a new HD.
