    Hey People,

I have my begging hat on right now as my win7 computer is all bsod up in my face. i've tried repairing a few ways (auto and bootfix.exe) but to no avail.

both disks are fully working and i've direct copied them with Acronis so the data is ok and i could prob do a new install, but the problem is all my settings will go funky and some projects will not load up (i know this from having lost data songs before) can't do it again to painful :cry

Any help would be massively appreciated and will probably make you more handsome and brave!

    Fault:

when it turns on it goes to bsod (as below) after the windows loading screen, it can't safe mode load and cant repair and gives the fault below. i have tried bootrec.exe and it completes /fixmbr /fixboot but when you run /RebuildBcd it finds no os's

there are two copies of windows (XP, Win7) on two separate disks dual boot. I could deal with separating them if it came to it (XP no workio either)

Thanks for looking, my hopes are in your hands!

Can you get to Safe Mode with Command Prompt?

If you can, run chkdsk /r

Consensus seems to be that the registry is corrupted, or a System file is missing or damaged or a device driver file is missing or damaged. Check this out:

"Startup repair could not detect a problem"

I had tried this without cd, but alas all has been in vain :-(

    Any other ideas anyone?

Thanks for looking though all :)

    Quasimojo out....

I found the below at another forum - it's advice that was given to someone else with the same blue screen error code, however with a different Problem Signature 07. Their problem signature said Bad Driver, yours says NoRootCause. Don't know if this will help, but it seems worth passing on:

If nothing else helps, start the computer from the Windows-DVD and click on "Install Now" (might be a slightly different wording for that option). When you reach the choice of Upgrade or Custom, choose Upgrade. This will install all the Windows System Files new, while the rest will remain as they are.

Fixed!!!!!!!!!! its was the disk order in bios being incorrect, i disabled all the drives apart from the one i wanted booting and put it in IDE mode (even though they're sata) and did a repair when it started and it popped back up. still can't run it with sata emulation but it works :) TFFT
