Compaq Evo N610c / Wont play a DVD. Windows media player 11.0.5721.5262. Windows XP Home. (Shipped originally Windows 2000). Fresh OS Install. Fresh install of media player 11. Complete update of all Compaq Drivers Via here http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/si...x.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken Im afraid to do the factory registry update, as the OS is not 2000. Also haven't flashed the Bios that's a last resort mission. After the Installs I originally got an error message from windows Media that there was either a problem with my video sub system or I needed to lower the resolution. I then installed A fresh set of CODECS for xp. Cant remember where I got them. I have the install file so it can be traced if needed. Now Win Media player shows me the blank title and the chapters of the dvd but still handing me the error message to only lower my resolution. The Sub system portion of the error changed with the codec install and I got closer. This laptop is using the ATI Raedeon 7500 video adaper. Shows up in the device list as Radeon Mobility. I haven't installed any service packs to this xp home installation.

Yes I have lowered the Res with no luck although these dual monitors are weird. Thanks who ever in advance.
