Hi Geeks. I just picked up a new-used computer, moving up from a Celeron 633 MHz processor and Windows ME to a Compaq EVO desktop, model 510 SFF with Win 2000 Pro and 2.4 GHz Pentium 4. I know that's not real great, but I think it's a major upgrade for me. Anyhow, I have two questions:

    (1) It came from the factory with 256 mb PC 2100 DDR RAM, and the previous owner bumped it up to 512 megs. I checked at crucial dot com and found that it can take up to 2 gigs of RAM. I can get (2) 512 sticks of PC 3200 DDR RAM dirt cheap to bump it up to 1 gig; but a friend of mine says than Win 2000 wouldn't really appreciate the extra RAM, and that it might actually even slow me down a bit...any opinions?

    (2) I have no restore disk, but I ordered one from HP, and will be getting it by snail-mail. Since I'm impatient, does anyone know if I can reset this to factory settings by F10-ing? I've checked several forums and HP sites, but can't find anything about this. Thanks!
