Looking for opinions comparing Firefox to Google Chrome as to speed, security and stability.

Between chrome and firefox browser , firefox is much better than chrome because it is easy to use and faster in speed. but after firefox latest update, mozilla crashed more and more.so its very difficult to work on mozilla latest version.

I have been using Firefox as of version 1.0 so that was about 10 years ago. In all that time it only has crashed perhaps 3 times. I don't like that Mozilla introduced Australis and took some customizability away. There are at least 10 thousand extensions/addons which is a big plus. Speed is very good.

I tried Chrome some years ago, didn't like it due to a lack of customizability and addons and thus uninstalled it. IMO was a dumbed down browser.

You may get different answers and opinions than the one above as selecting a browser is a personal preference.

    I agree with Oma.
I tried Google Chrome for a while but eventually abandoned it.
Google Chrome and Chromium based browsers have a minimalist interface, which some people like, but others do not.
Only a small set of configuration options are directly and easily accessible.
Access to other settings beyond that is not is not done in an intuitive or conventional manner, so people often say those things are "hidden".
Google Chrome uses more memory because each open tab is treated as a separate running process, for added stability.

Firefox has a more conventional interface and access to Settings is much easier.
There are lots of add-ons for many purposes. User reviews and ratings can be a big help in finding what you want.
Most are evaluated by Firefox developers and some are chosen to be labeled as "Featured".
    What Are Featured Add-ons

There are special variants of Firefox which have been optimized for the Windows environment.
Cyberfox and Pale Moon are two of those and both are available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
I've been using the Cyberfox Intel x64 version for about a month and I like it a lot.

As oma mentioned, Firefox is reaching it's ten year aniversary.

Hate chrome but I prefer it to FF only on my android tablet. Because FF for android only allows 1 tab; with chrome I can have several.

On all Windows computers, FF is used. I can block all those pervasive google ads scattered all over the internet in FF. I can't in chrome. (Try AdBlockPlus. Load a page in chrome and load the same page in FF).
From time to time chrome updates break things and since it updates in the background, you are sort of at the mercy of the updates. At least in FF, you can delay an update if you read posts about problems.

I'm also a big FF fan, been using it before it was called firefox (Phoenix 0.3) I think. Its been awhile. I use the nightlies, which isn't recommended unless you like pain and suffering.

If you want genuine proof on speed, then check out:

As you can see Firefox wins on those benchmarks.
