CCleaner we all know and I use all the time. I started for a search and found yet another program which seems to get only good reviews. Its called CleanUp!. (Yes the "!" is in the name and I am not just happy I found it)

So this program allows you to run a "demo" session which it find and fakes deleting them only so it will create a log and you can view what it WILL delete.

I have created a log from CCleaner and from CleanUp! before I actually deleted anything.

I would like the pros here to look at the log from Cleaner! and tell me if it seems to be getting rid of anything it shouldn't.

Both files are below. They are .TXT files. Right Click and Save Target As. Txt files don't appear correctly in Internet Explore. More readable in Notepad.

    Thanks bud.

I never really browsed through the MajorGeeks program database before, I will more often now before possibly making and more threads like these.

I read "Under some - not all - configurations of Windows XP enabling the option Scan local drives for temporary files, some system files can result in some required system files being deleted" in the database and I am not going to be using this program.

CCleaner is much safer, I like how its always being updated. You don't find that very often with freeware.

I was just surprised at first that CleanUp found more than CCleaner.

CCleaner is surface cleaner, never go down in a basement to clean something that actually will hurt the OS.

Same stuff with CCleaner and RegCure.RegCure will find 3-4 times more "garbage" than CCleaner.BUT if you are not computer savy to know what your doing.....crying time is near.:cry

Welp, everytime I have used CCleaner, the computer speeds up a good amount so I don't feel there is any reason to go deeper than CCleaner.

I have used RegCure and it does find a lot. CCleaner is easier and does the job though.
