Compatibility - Pharaoh

    Okay, still new to playing PC games so bear with me...

    ...we're playing Pharaoh and get through a majority of the game. As soon as we reach a certain point, the CPU usage spikes to 100%, the game blacks out, and it quits.

    We were aware that it was originally intended for a Win 98 platform. We're running Win XP. We've updated the activex controls to 9.0. No requirements are listed on the game other than processing/and video card.

    So, any ideas on why it's doing it?
