Compressed BOOTMGR-Oops:(

Hi all

I think I really mucked up this time, I thought I may gain some disk space and decided to compress all files, everything seemed to go well until I logged off and restarted (or tried to restart) my computer.
All I get now is BOOTMGR is compressed, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart-over and over and...well you get the picture!! :crap
I am running Vista and research tells me there is no such thing as a start up disk, I tried copying a recovery disk (downloaded from Rktmp3) but this didnt do anything.
Anyone got any ideas?-Otherthan a complete reinstall!!
