    ps: some info about this computer

    1. She had limewire also but wants to delete it and everything else with it
    2. Her computer is slow
    3. Her computer is also very slow in startup

    The logs are clean......

    As to the issues you mention:
    McAfee Security suite is a resource hog......and you have little resource on this system:
    Code:
    Total Physical Memory    512.00 MB    
Available Physical Memory    50.86 MB
    You need to uninstall:
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
    LimeWire 4.18.1

    We can handle some of the slowness with this:

    Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
    Now reboot and download and install:
    Java Runtime

    One question: since mcafee is a resource hog can i uninstall it or her computer needs it?

    I would suggest uninstalling it ....Mcafee Uninstaller

    Avast would be less of a strain on her system.
