My screen savor is set to turn off after 10 minutes, the moniter after 30. About a month ago I noticed that I would get up in the morning and my monitor would be on, but I didn't think much of it. I double checked my settings and actually tested them and the screen saver did in fact come on after 10 minutes..monitor in 30.

A couple weeks later I'm at work and I get a call from my wife telling me that my computer looks like it's copying files all by itself. I asked her to turn the computer off immediately.

I uninstalled a bunch of programs, ran Ad-Aware and Spybot, changed all my passwords in all my accounts (including router, Administrator password, etc on my computer), and disabled a bunch of services I didn't recognize (like one that was identified as ##ID_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762##. This one is apparently Apple's open source implementation of zero-configuration networking software which was fairly easy to remove after I unregistered the service in safe-mode).

Then I installed Norton Internet Security 2007. My computer has yet to make it all the way through the full system scan, however it made it all the way through my C and D drives where most of my programs are without finding any viruses.

For the last week or so everything seemed fine. This morning I got up and my monitor was on again and my hard drive was definitely doing something. It was like 5 in the morning and I had to get up for work in a few hours so I ran HijackThis, unplugged the network cable, and went back to bed.

I was hoping someone could scan this and tell me if they see anything that raises eyebrows. Thanks.
