computer freezing up?

First of all, I have windows xp. I installed a d-link wireless router. Ever since the installation one of the the computers keeps freezing up. It does it at random and when it happens , the only way out is to manually shut off the comp. Sometimes when i'm online, sometimes when the screensaver is on. I did a virus and spyware check and nothing came up. I'm also am running a firewall..The comp. is only 6 months old. Does anybody have a solution?Thanks

 

I dont know anything about wireless router,maybe:
The wireless would be using a lot of power,maybe you are having voltage fluctuation due to overload.

 

When this freezing happens is your cpu fan running?

 

Some of the geeks are asleep.Wait till they get up.
Until then try and find a new driver for the router.

 

How do you know it needs a driver if you don't know how it's connected?

If it's ethernet, it doesn't require a driver.

 

Try firmware update
