I am networked, I have a printer hooked directly up to my computer and I also use a big copier which is on the network. I am running Windows 7 It does not matter what program I am in, if I go to change between my regular printer and the copier my computer freezes and I have to shut completely down. This happens several times a day. I have tried switching my printers and that did not help. What can I do?

Hi Robyn0574 and Welcome to MGs.

First thing I would do would be to check for updated drivers for both printer and copier for your machine. If you do find that there are newer versions of drivers, I would completely uninstall the printer and copier from your comp and install with the new drivers rather than updating in place.
See if that solves the problem.
If not, give us some information on the specific machines, printer and copier, and there may be some other aspects we can look at.

    Good Luck.
