Computer Getting Really Slow

A few months ago my computer had become really infected with spyware and chaslang help me remove it all (ps I still love you for that man, u saved me). Ever since then, my computer has been running pretty slow but I never thought twice about it because I was just so happy it wasn't infected with spyware. Well, over the past couple weeks my computer has been even slower and it really slows me down a lot. It's especially slow in the mornings right when I first take it out of sleep mode/standby. I have been running AVG and Zonealarm for the past few months and I dont think I am infected with spyware, but my computer is really slow. I still have most of those programs installed from when I cleaned the spyware, such as killbox, hijack this, ccleaner etc... Also I am using Windows 2000 and I have 320MB ram. Should I try disk defrag?

First, I would remove all the programs you installed during your cleaning because they are updated often so most will be out of date. As far as your AVG and ZoneAlarm, be sure they are both up-to-date as they are also updated often.

If you like, be sure you have Hijack This 1.99.1 and attach a current log so we can confirm you have nothing on your system.

Per your last log I didn't see any problems. To stay clean I would recommend following the article below. Keep you antivirus, antispy, firewall and windows updates up-to-date and you'll be fine.
