My computer started "hanging" about 3 weeks ago. When clicking on a program it takes exceptionally long sometimes for it to open. Also, when "right clicking" to open up a context menu it will also often cause the computer to hang for a period of time. I have checked to make sure that it was not a problem with my Windows shell and it is not.

I ran all of the "Read & Run Me First" scans and then waited a week but the problem still exists. Today I ran all of those scans again so everything would be fresh and I am attaching the requested logs to this post.

    My system is:

    Intel Quadcore Q6600
    4Gb Ram
    Nvidia 8600GTS video card
    Windows XP Home Edition

AVG Antispyware found one infection which was low priority. I "applied all actions" and it removed the infection but when I clicked on the "reports" tab it would not allow me to save a report. When I ran the AVG scan a week ago it found about 4 items. Two were low importaance and two were medium. I once again "applied all actions" and it once again removed all of the problems but also would not let me save a report at that time either. Before running the scan I set up AVG Antispywere exactly as it was instructed under the "Running AVG Antispyware" heading.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Your problems do not appear to be malware related. You may want to post in the Software Forum. However you should check to see if your problems are related to anything you installed during the last month. Like the below for example:
    Code:
    "C:\Program Files\"
    IPOD Jan 17 2008 "iPod"
    NCHSOF~1 Jan 8 2008 "NCH Software"
    NCHSWI~1 Jan 8 2008 "NCH Swift Sound"
    OVERDR~1 Jan 8 2008 "OverDrive Media Console"
    REGCLE~1 Jan 2 2008 "RegCleaner"
    TUNEBITE Jan 8 2008 "Tunebite"
    VISTAS~1 Dec 28 2007 "Vista Start Menu"
Also you should check to see if your problems occur when you boot in safe mode.

You can fix the below non-malware items but I do not believe this has anything to do with yur problems other than maybe the Tunebite item which is new and is not necessary to run at startup.

Uninstall LiveUpdate 3.0 (Symantec Corporation) via Add/Remove Programs.

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it. This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.local
    R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! Toolbar - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTTask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [tunebite.exe] C:\Program Files\Tunebite\tunebite.exe -tray
    O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
    O6 - HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
