Computer isnt sending signal to moniter

Heya all, its me again

Well i have an older computer that just stopped sending signals to the moniter, i tried hooking up a different moniter but there was the same problem. So i switched to the onboard video card and that didnt work either. I do hear noises from the computer when it starts up, but no beeps. I think the issue might be the hard drive but im not 100% sure and wanted some opinons.

 

If the hard drive was bad, you would still get a display to the monitor, but no OS would be able to load.

First, try reseating the video card and RAM. If that doesnt work,
Try this:

Take out the video card, clear the BIOS, and plug the monitor into the on-board port. That should enable the onboard video. If that works, it might be the video card.

 

I can see the screen now when it boots but after a minute or so the moniter switches back to No Signal, after a warning that the CPU has changed,


and sometimes it freezes like its hanging on the screen with the little flashing line in the top left corner

 

ok it seems to start booting then goes back to hp screen, then it starts booting again and repeat. and when i enter bios it stays in for only a few seconds then goes back to the hp screen

*edit* just tryed to run in safemode, the comp appears to freeze when loading fileinfo.sys

*edit again* managed to disable quickboot in bios, windows loaded so im backing up everything atm

 

i think i can handle it from here, thanks
