computer keeps shutting down and low memory error???

I have read all of the other posts and I don't think my problem is the same?!

My computer will just shut down randomly sometimes after 1 min sometimes after a few hrs? When it does this I am unable to use the power button on the computer itself....it will just beeep? I have to turn off the power bar that I am using and reboot that way!

I am also constently getting a "low virtual memory" error as well, not sure if these two problems are connected or now?

I don't know enough of the hidden stuff to do it myself but I follow instructions really well and I am willing to follow any instructions that may lead to a better computer

Don't have any money to sink into this machine, please help!

Typically, we'll need some more information from you, like your computer RAM specs, computer specs and so on.

Virtual Memory is like an extension for RAM. It looks at which areas of RAM have not been used recently, and copies that onto your hard disk, giving the illusion of unlimited memory. However, if you have too many programs running or have loads of stuff installed, then your virtual and real memory will be taken up.
Visit HERE to look at how to help free up some memory.

If you think that the shutdown is caused by a virus, look HERE and post your logs in the Malware Removal section. If not, then it is probably caused by programs taking up too much memory, causing the computer to freeze due to overload of requests.

Just a note, it's better to edit your previous posts than to create a new post - then the admins and mods will think that someone's already answered your questions.

 

I have followed the instructions on both the maintence and the malware link you have provided and I will attach the neccessary logs.

I have a Intel Pent 4 CPU 1.60 ghz 256 ram. I don't know if you require any further information?

Please note that I was unable to get a log from COMBOfix as the site said it was unavailable at this time.

I hope I uploaded the right thing for MGlogs?

If I have done anything incorrectly plz let me know and I will re do.....really appriciate your help

 

Thanks for the post, but I'm hardly qualified to examine those. Post them in the Malware Removal Section and hope that a malware fighter takes a look at it.
