    Hi, ALL,
Unfortunately, I can't find the initial thread for that, so...

I tried to run R&R on one of my own desktop computers.
However after running MalwareBytes and rebooting the computer lost its connectivity to the network/Internet.

Trying "ipconfig/release; ipconfig/renew" results in the following:

    "Windows IP Configuration

No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection while it has its media disconnected.

An error occurred while renewing interface Wireless Network Connection : The requested service provider could not be loaded or initialized."

Any idea how to bring it back? I need to create the backup point and so install Windows XP Recovery Console...

    Thank you.

Please attach the log from running MBAM. We will want to see what it removed and if it had any effect on your connection.

What malware issues were you having that you came to run the procedures? I may be asking you to run all the rest of the steps of the R&R and you can transfer logs to another PC to attach here. I may also have to send you to the networking forum if we cannot sort things out here.

Sorry it took so long to post it.

The computer has the wireless network card in it. What I found is that trying to reconnect gives APIPA address with "Limited or no connectivity". Trying to open Control Panel -> Network Connections, I see that the "Wireless Network Connection" is "Firewalled".
I'm running Symantec Client Firewall on this guy and I can't see where to change this policy.

    Is this the cause?

    Thank you.

P.S.: Im typing it from different computer so the log might be a little off.

Have you tried doing a system restore to a point before this happened?
