Computer Malfunctioning

While I was playing "The Sims 3", my computer screen went black and eventually, said it was shutting down to protect my files. After a few attempts at restarting, the computer finally restarted and seemed fine. I opened "The Sims 3" again, and immediately the screen went black and I had to restart. I had been playing this game for hours, and previous days I played for hours and everything was fine.

Now, my screen is distorted with lines and I can only use the computer in safe mode. The lines are still there. I followed all of the steps to a T for malware removal, but nothing has improved. I'm not sure if I even have a malware problem at this point.

Sounds like a hardware issue. But let's do this:

Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
When it opens, press the Scan button
Now click the Registry tab and locate these detections:

[RUN][SUSP PATH] HKCU\[...]\RunOnce : (cmd.exe /c rd /s /q "C:\Users\Darkie\AppData\Local\Temp\joi9FE6.tmp") -> FOUND
[RUN][SUSP PATH] HKCU\[...]\RunOnce : join.me_joi9FE6.tmp_cleanup (cmd.exe /c del /f /q "C:\Users\Darkie\AppData\Local\Temp\joi9FE6.tmp_cleanup.bat") -> FOUND
[RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-21-3642053179-2703681504-3557403982-1001[...]\RunOnce : (cmd.exe /c rd /s /q "C:\Users\Darkie\AppData\Local\Temp\joi9FE6.tmp") -> FOUND
[RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-21-3642053179-2703681504-3557403982-1001[...]\RunOnce : join.me_joi9FE6.tmp_cleanup (cmd.exe /c del /f /q "C:\Users\Darkie\AppData\Local\Temp\joi9FE6.tmp_cleanup.bat") -> FOUND

Place a checkmark each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
Now press the Delete button.
When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)

Now:

Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.

Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.

The tool will open and start scanning your system.

Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.

On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.

Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

Now rescan with RogueKiller and attach that new logs also.
