Alright the specs for my computer are:
    OS-Windows XP SP2
CPU Type-AMD Athlon XP, 1913 Mhz
    Motherboard-ASUS A7N8X-E Delux
    System Memory-512 MB
    Video Card-Nvidia Geforce FX 5200
    Hard Drive-152.7 GB 3 partitions

When the computer boots up it goes normally to the XP Screen with the black background and the blue dots that move across the screen under the XP symbol, before it reaches the accounts it flashes a blue page with white writing on it real fast and then restarts at the motherboards screen. Then it goes to the page where I can select: Safe-mode, Safe-mode with network, Safe-mode with command prompt, restart with last known good configuration. When the problem first showed up it was after I clicked on a link in AIM and got a virus and spy ware. I’ve gone through the spy ware specific forums and cleaned my computer up and so now I'm here, here’s the link for that forum:

When you're booted into Safe Mode, right-click on My Computer, select Properties. Click-on the Advanced tab, click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery; under System failure make sure that Automatically restart is unchecked. Click OK, click Apply, click OK.

Restart your computer. Now you should be able to read what is on the Blue Screen.

What is the error message on that screen, word for word?

Hey Shadow, thanks for the help on getting rid of all the spyware that was on my computer and for helping me out here. And here is the message on the Blue Screen:

A Problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to you computer.

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

If this is the first time you’ve seen this stop screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press f8 to select Advanced Setup Options, and then select safe mode.

    Technical information:

    ***STOP: 0x00000050 (0xF895E884, 0x00000001, 0x8179B968, 0x00000000)

And for UKARMYCADET i think my problem is different because my computer has been running for over a year before this happenned, and it always worke when i use safe-mode, and safe-mode with netwroking. Also i dont know if i want to mess with the wiring, while i did build it, my older brother watched me do everything, and he did the wiring. But thanks for the input anyways i appreciate the help.

I have downloaded Driver Cleaner Professional. I have a quick question about the uninstall. I've opened the device manager gone down to Display Adaptors clicked the plus sign to see NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 do I just right click on that and hit Uninstall or am i looking for something that says "Uninstall drivers"?

The easiest way to do it is to go to control panel add remove programs, find the nvidia driver and click remove, remember to know the location of drivercleaner pro before you do this "best to have copy on the desktop" when you have selected restart after removing the drivers dont forget to press F8 during windows startup to go into safe mode, then run drivercleaner only select to remove the nvidia drivers and once again restart, after the restart exit out of found new hardware and run the latest nvidia drivers :)

hope your toes are OK puter M8 :p

Well i thought i did everything right but apparently not. I ran through your steps and when removing NVIDIA drivers i selected remove all NVIDIA drivers, including display then restarted the computer.

I restarted in safe-mode with networking and hit cancel on all the windows that popped up. Then i ran Drive Cleaner Pro and selected nVidia and removed it. Then I selected the restart option.

When I restarted i hit f8 and went back into safe-mode with networking, is this where i went wrong? Should i have just restarted and gone through it like normal? And hit cancel on all the windows that popped up went to the NVIDIA website and downloaded the drivers for the graphics card. And restarted again.

Went through it wthout hitting f8 and got the blue screen with a new message:

    ***STOP: 0x00000050 (0xF985E7AC, 0x00000001, 0xFF8C2968, 0x00000000)

Also, I don’t know if this helps any, but I talked to a friend the other day that worked at computer store and he said that he has seen computers that got viruses of AIM and they go through the computer and delete files. He said that he saw one computer that couldn’t run any .exe files because of what the virus had done.

Since I uninstalled all the Nvidia drivers if the mother board chipset is a nVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400 do I also have to download and install the drivers for it off the nVIDIA website?

If you uninstalled all NVIDIA drivers, and still was unable to boot into normal mode, then....

What happens when you go into msconfig (within safe mode), and Select "Selective Startup" and uncheck all check boxes. Does this help any?

It didnt start up normal and when I started up in safe mode with networking I didnt have internet.

the error message i recieved was:

    ***STOP: 0x00000050 (0xF895E7AC, 0x00000001, 0x81EZ1968, 0x00000000)

So I went back in and turned them on so I can get to the internet.

    A couple of questions....

1st: Do you have any dump files within: %SystemRoot%\Minidump ? A.K.A. (Start, then Run, then type in %SystemRoot%\Minidump (press enter)

    Or any .dmp files?

2nd: What does event viewer say?

    Start, Run, eventvwr (press enter)

Check out any errors within system and programs. List them here.

It doesnt show any files in the Minidump folder. And for the event viewer it shows a lot of errors...

Under sytem it shows error sources as: W32Time, Tcpip, DCOM, system error, service control manager.

Under Applications it shows error sources as: Symantec antivirus.
