    I'm having problems with my computer. I've been helped in the past here. You guys have been fantastic.

    My computer is a few years old but still runs fairly fast.

    When I bought the computer, I bought a 56 GB solid state drive in order for it to run faster. I tried to only place essential programs on it (windows and some other programs I used in my previous line of work). The drive stayed around 30GB until 6 months ago. All of a sudden, without me adding anything (to my knowledge), it started to fill up. Whenever I save any file or any new program, I use the other non SS drives. Furthermore, when I started to remove the programs I used to use for work, the drive would have GB free for a while. But a few restarts later, it would be back to being nearly full again. This would be without adding any additional programs. I don't know what is going on. At times it will get so full that I will have problems opening up pictures in windows photo viewer because of lack of memory.

    Another issue is that I get the blue screen of death and then the computer needs to reboot (this has been going on for years, but I've largely ignored this as it hasn't been causing any real problems until the last 5 or 6 months).

    I only recently have had time to address this. Attached are the scans. Thank you in advance for your time. Please let me know if I can provide any other information.

    Fix items using RogueKiller.

    Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7/8 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
    When it opens, press the Scan button
    Now click the File tab and locate these detections:

    • [PUP][Folder] C:\ProgramData\{3C5CBD7B-3D1D-411E-96C2-513FFCA84D2D} -> Found
    • [PUP][Folder] C:\ProgramData\{BAF091CA-86C4-4627-ADA1-897E2621C1B0} -> Found

    Place a checkmark next to each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.

    ...and the same for this entry on web browser tab...

    • [PUP][FIREFX:Addon] 9k230csg.default : GoPhotoIt [gophoto@gophoto.it] -> Found

    When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
    Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
    Reboot the machine.

    Download OTL to your desktop.

    We need to run an OTL Fix

    • Right-click OTL.exe to run it as admin. If Windows UAC prompts you, please allow it.
    • Copy and Paste the following code into the textbox. Do not include the word Code

    Code:
    :reg
    [-HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\AppID\{608D3067-77E8-463D-9084-908966806826}]
    [-HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\AppID\{608D3067-77E8-463D-9084-908966806826}]
    [-HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\AskToolbar]

    :commands
    [EMPTYTEMP]
    [RESETHOSTS]
    [REBOOT]
    • Then click the Run Fix button at the top.
    • Click Image.
    • OTL may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
    • The report should appear in Notepad after the reboot. ATTACH that report in your next reply.

    http://imageshack.us/a/img841/7292/thisisujrt.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

    Re run Hitman Pro and attach the new log after performing a scan with it. I may have to send you onto the software forum for further assistance.

    Thank you for your attention Kestrel13!

    Attached are the logs you requested. I was able to run them as you asked for the most part. However, Rogue Killer did not generate a log on my desktop as your instructions said they would. I deleted the files that you told me to delete. I then ran the scan again and exported that scan. I hope this doesn't cause any issues.

    I would like to note that the problem that I am having occurred again after some of the first round of scans removed some programs from my computer. Last night, I had 1.2GB free on the drive. Now, I have 37 MB. The significant decreases happened before I added JRT and OTL. I have not added any new programs either.

    Re reun RogueKiller, let it remove this entry on the registry tab:

    • [PUP] (X86) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\AskToolbar -> Found
    Not seeing anything else left to do in this forum. You should post about your issues in the software forum.

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
