It's not a bad CPU, as it is a hyper-threaded dual-core (4 threads) and the L3 cache is kind of small at 2MB, but it's the best Broadwell Pentium available. You'd probably be better off with a Core i3, which has at least a 3MB L3 cache, IMHO. The main advantage of a low end Core i3 is that it's L1 instruction and data caches are separate. The Pentium CPUs do not have separate L1 caches, and are not as efficient. Even Atom CPUs have separate L1 caches, so I see the Pentiums as a form of wasted efficiency. Again, my opinion. The 6GB of RAM is a nice touch. If you're not looking to do anything too intense, it's not a bad laptop for basic tasks. Fair warning however, there is NO upgrading the Pentium later. There is no socket, the CPU soldered to the motherboard.

@ the mekanic That is what i was thinking about also , I can't upgrade the memory later. I mainly want to surf the internet and encode movies, and burn mp3s.
