    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Slow PCs are not always malware. It could be but often times it is due to all the programs that users are running. And frequently issues occur to using over bloated Internet Security Suite software by vendors like Symantec and McAfee. We shall see what your problems are after you complete the below.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
    • Bitdefender
    • Panda Scan
    • HijackThis

Thank you for your e-mail. It has took me many hours and lots of Bitdefender and Panda crashes. but evenually I have managed to run all of the spy-ware and ad-ware programs and virus programs you advised me to do. I would appreciate it if you would take a look at my scans.
I tried to upload a scan but it came up with this error.
    vscan.log:
Your file of 357.1 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 250.0 KB for this filetype

Try compressing your Bitdefender log into a ZIP file and then upload the the ZIP. That should fit. Often when logs are that big it is because of reasons like below:

    - lots of junk/bad files in Recycle Bin
    - lots of junk/bad files in Norton NProtect folder
    - lots of junk/bad files in quarantine folders from antivirus or antispyware programs
    - lots of cookies for other users on the PC
    - lots of bad stuff in System Restore files

The first four could be manually removed before running the scanners to keep log files smaller.

Do you know what the below file is is:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Brian1\Desktop\pc-cillan\agv virus\cmdline.zip

It is in your Panda log.

You must go back and follow the directions in step 3 of the READ & RUN ME. You have multiple antiviirus applications installed. I see McAfee and Bitdefender. This alone can slow your PC down. Looks like you may need to uninstall Bitdefender since your firewall is provided by McAfee and you must have a firewall.

Also you should check to see if you can disable the AOL built-in antispyware.

Also see the below link about a process running for your Belkin Wireless card hogging system resources:

There is no real malware in your logs! The below process do not need to load at startup. Stopping them from loading will also help speed up your PC.
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

    Hi
It could have been part of a CD version of AGV Virus that I was trying to install but the version was out of date and it would not install.
If it isn't the agv virus then I don't know what it is. I have now deleted everything in the agv\cmdline.zip file. and deleted it from the recycle bin.
deleted all the cookies and I will go on-line and do another bitdefender scan and send you the file. I have deleted Mcafee virus but it is still slow.
I don't have Norton NProtector, and how would I disable AOL built-in antispyware, Is this causing my computer to be slow.
How do I disable these files so they do not start.

Do you mean AVG??? Why would you put it in a sub-folder named pc-cillan?

You run HijackThis and do a scan. Then select each of those lines. Then exit all browsers including this one, then click Fix checked.

Attach a new HijackThis log now and let's see where things stand.
