I just did a format of my hard drive and reinstalled a new version of Windows Vista Home. My computer is still very slow. What I did notice is that down in the right hand corner of the screen where the icons are, the two computer screens with the globe that tell you that you are connected to the internet are not lit up like they used to be.When I used to connect to the internet, both computer screens used to flash back and forth when I was connected. I am still able to connect to the internet, but things are so slow! I have the computer in my bedroom that I use all the time, computer in the basement, and then all my game systems in where the television is in the basement. I have the modem hooked up to a Gamelink DGL-4300 router. Everything used to run fine from this a few days ago, then things got like they are today. This makes me think that something in my network settings got changes somehow. This is all new to me. Just need to get this set back the way it used to be,.

Don't know about yours, but when I did a fresh reinstall of XP on my machine, I had the very same problem.Message saying little or no connectivity.
Solution was to unplug power cord of router for 25-30 seconds. Reconnect and let router reconnect to establish IP address.

First off, I meant to say that I have my computer hooked up to a D-Link DGL-4300.I could not edit my post after I submitted it.
I was just checking the Local Area Connection Status.
    the IPv4- says Internet
    the IPv6- says Limited

Is this supposed to say limited? Things are still very, very slow. I have no idea what to look at now.

Have you tried the unplugging the router thing yet?

How about Start, Control Panel, Network Connections. Right click and select repair.

Windows Did Not Find Any Problems With Your Internet Connection
    Just tried it.

    Beginning to take this personally.
Have you tried to enable your device or update the drivers?
Go to Start,Control Panel, Administrative Tools,Device Manager.
Look for any yellow triangles. Those are the ones needing attention.
If none, find your network connector and click on update driver.

Ok,I unplugged the modem, turned off my PC and also unplugged the router. Plugged the Motorola Surfboard 4200 back in and waited for it to power up. Power, receive, send all light up solid, then when it comes to the online light,it just keeps flashing. I cannot a solid connection when trying to reset everything.
