computer went haywire

My computer absolutely went crazy.

I run AVG all the time...something must have slipped in though.

The problem is that system resources are now dominated by help files for any program that I try to use.

If I open windows explorer I get windows xp help and support center screens opening like mad....had over 60 open at one time.

If I open excel...same thing except now its office help

If I open my computer...I cannot do anything with the folders...(was going to try to share the root so I could get my data then reinstall my operating system and programs. I can't copy, can't paste, can't do ANYTHING.

I was able to get through network places to run Hijack This from another computer. luckily it saved the log onto the other computer.

Someone PLEASE HELP ME!!! I have a huge project I was working on stuck in the messed up machine....two days worth of work. I can send the Hijack This log if you think it would help.

HijackThis being run on another computer tells you what the other computer is running not the problem computer.

Do things work better in safe boot mode? Try running the below in safe boot mode.

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

If you cannot run all it due to your problem, at least try to get the part with MGtools to run and attach the requested log from it. Without logs we cannot properly help you so you need to get us some info like requested in the READ & RUN ME.
