Computer won't boot up

i restarted my computer using the power off button and it won't go past the blue screen with options for startup. i can't use my keyboard while this screen is up to select boot options. i'm running vista 64 bit i downloaded and burned the vista 64 bit recovery disk, but once it rebooted from that, i got the same screen
