    Hi All

    I have XP SP3 on a Dell Dimension 9100. All up-to-date.

I bought an el cheapo no-name USB Bluetooth dongle which I only use for syncing my PDA. It works fine once the computer has booted. BUT If I leave it in the USB input (on my monitor) during booting up, the BIOS splash screen won't load all the way and hangs at the last moment.

If I pull the dongle and reboot and only plug it in once XP is up, I have no problem.

I can live with it working this way, but if there is a solution, it would more convenient to leave it plugged in permanently.

    Hope someone can help.

    Dins

Just a thought that might work! Try turning of the boot from USB devicee in the bios.
