I run winXP sp2, this is a desktop 3.00 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4, 1024 ram. I installed a PYRO Digital Video 1394 to transfer my videos from camcorder to dvd. I bought a new Sony digital handycam also. The 1394 shows up in the Device Manager but the camcorder doesn't. I have re-seated the 1394 card and restarted numerous times. I have made sure the camcorder is turned on to play/VCR mode when I restart also. I loaded all the discs for the card and camcorder but it still doesn't recognize it. I have tried using both Pinnacle Studio software and what came with the camcorder, both say there is no camera plugged in. Any advice? It seems the companies want to blame each other and the one I bought the card from wants me to buy a new card but if it is showing up in the Device Manager wouldn't that mean it's working correctly? It says it is functioning correctly anyway.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I thought I could fix this myself by trial and error but I'm frustrated and about to give up.
Thanks if you can help or even try to help, I could really use some now.

Thanks! I hope you can find more than I did on the website, I was checking for drivers or anything that might help but couldn't find anything. I am getting no help from either the company I bought the card from or from Sony, each says the other one has drivers for me or the card is bad but IF the card were bad would it show up in the Device Manager saying it is working correctly?
I thank you so much for your time with this!
