computer wont recognize camera

i have windows xp and sony dsc-w200 digital camers, i cant down load my pictues to my cp. use to be just plug in to pc and camera wizard take over , now nothing..thanks

 

The easiest most fool proof way to get your images to your computer from any camera is to use a card reader. Works for just about any camera on just about any PC with just about any OS. Usually quicker too.

 

my pc has a card reader but i have no card for the camera

 

I assume you connect to the computer via a USB port. Try connecting to a port on the back of the computer or a different port if a laptop.

If that does not work try this autofix program from Microsoft. Run in an admin account.
