    Hi
I feel really bad about posting this - being new and all - but I'm rather desperate and am alone here and have no one to ask for help.

It's been a few days/weeks that I've been experiencing strange stuff with ym computer, namely with Internet Explorer mostly.
    Stuff like:
    - the IE home page keeps changing back to random ad/search/xxx sites even after I change it back to another URL
    - IE crashes about 40% of the times I try to open a page in a new window
    - Random stuff (Home insurance link) is added to my desktop

At first I thought it was nothing. Then I scanned my computer with Norton 2002 and nothing came up. After it repeatedly happening again I searched the web - but to no avail. I came across similar reports but nothing really specific. Ad-Aware didn't help.

But the most shocking thing is:
I cannot type the word v.irus and cannot search for anti.v.irus software in any browser as it crashes instantly as soon as the v-word is typed.
I also tried installing Norton 2004 and McAfee but somehow installation is denied and it doen't want to start.

I even tried a free online scan at Trend Micro but the website closes immediately - without letting me access it.

Basically, I am alone and have no one to ask for help - cannot search for help on the Net and cannot run and install antiv.irus software, and don't know what to do anymore.

Half an hour ago I cam across a free system scan on the Norton website - and somehow managed to get through with it.

The report said that my system was infected with:
    - W32.Spybot.Worm
    - VBS.StartPage
    - W32.Xabot.Worm
    - Trojan.Digits
    - Download.Trojan
    - Trojan.Bookmarker.D

I don't know much about those but I realise the situation is pretty severe.

    I just don't know what and - litterally - can't do anything.

Any help about how to go about removing those would be greatly appreciated.

Please could you refrain from using the word v.irus in full - I don't know if my system can take it.

    Spoon.
