concurrent malware and virus software

Hi, I saw on a pretty old post http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=230831 that, at that time, it was wise to have a combo of Avast, Malwarebytes, and SuperAntiSpyware running concurrently. Is that advice still valid?

I'm currently using Avast 2015, and Malwarebytes 2.0.4.1028. What will SAS pick up that the others might miss?

Did you check the quote of one of your administrators and Jedi Malware Expert?

Like I said, it was going on 3 1/2 years ago, so that would seem to be now no longer the case, however, I am finding that MalwareBytes is picking up stuff Avast isn't.

 

Actually that thread is updated as needed. If you read the second paragraph it tells you that.
