Considering that I am utilizing (with Vista Home OS):

    Comodo (Free) Firewall

    SpywareBlaster (from JavaCool)

    avast 5 (AV)

    Spyware Terminator (AS)

how "might" I be able to block certain sites, in these various progs, please?

Just occurred to me, that this may be a job for browsers - first and last, correct? I am using both Chrome and Firefox...

    Thanks in advance........
PS ~ I have searched (mostly Comodo forum and generally in search engines), to no avail. SpywareBlaster has always confused me with how it blocks things ("CLSID"??).

no script( http://noscript.net/ ) along with ad-block work together well in combination with Firefox,i installed "no script" after getting frustrated clinking on some google links that would redirect and say in the form of a pop-up that you may be infected..Etc..then when you try to exit it ,it would run a phony page depicting the explorer "my computer page"while appearing to be running a scan, this is just a spoof from rouge software sites trying to goad you into purchasing their fake products that will infect your system, last time i stumbled across one of these links was when i clicked on a site that showed a link of a filmography of an actor i was trying to research(40s B movie actor Dane Clark )
since I've installed it i haven't gotten anymore of those redirects, the banner pop-up's from no script can be a little annoying, but you can turn them off..

I highly recommend to you use WOT.

Is a good way to avoid bad websites, it marks with a gren circle the good ones and with a red one the bad sites.

The reputation of the websites is provided by the people that uses WOT and is a big comunnity at the moment.

It's a simple add-on to any browser (IE, Chrome, Mozilla, Opera), you could download it from here:

    Hope it helps.
