Confused as anything...

OK. I did something foolish on my wife's laptop that got me the about:blank and sysprotectionpage.com hijakers.

I have done EVERYTHING mentioned in the 'READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support' section. That seemed to clear things up so I didn't post.

However, it returned after a few boots, so I tried running the about:Blank procedures (attached are my aboutBuster and HijackThis logs).

Things seem to be running OK now, but what should I do if these things come back?

This is really confusing me...

Welcome to Majorgeeks!

You do not have an about:blank hijacker so you do not need to run any of those procedures. You do however need to attach your Bitdefender and PandaActiveScan logs as requested in step 6. We need them first before continuing.

You also did not follow the directions in step 7 of the READ ME and as a result have installed HijackThis exactly where we specify not to install it. Please follow the directions given in step 7 exactly.

You also skipped step 3 of the READ ME! You have Symantec and McAfee installed. Our work goes a lot faster when directions are followed. Just saying I have done EVERYTHING and then it is obvious that you have not.......well you decide what to say.
