I'm not sure if I'm infected with anything. I have run 'Read and Run', however, I couldn't run Panda in safe mode or normal, so couldn't run it. Also AVG would only open in safe mode, so I could'nt update it. Here's the problem, I thought I was having hdd problems, started a thread in hardware, followed the advice, could'nt really find anything wrong. A couple days ago, I got the BSOD, (flashed so fast I couldn't get error message). My computer rebooted on it's own, as XP was loading, it just started rebooting over and over. I ran a few tests from Hirens boot disk, it fixed a couple errors and I can once again get on my computer. I have heard there is a virus that will do this (the rebooting). So I was just wondering if you would take a look to see if I was clean. Thanks in advance, again! confused

Please attach the requested logs from AVG Antispyware and BitDefender.

Also please run CCleaner as it does not look like it was run. You Temp folder is loaded with old junk.

Also install and rename HijackThis as requested in step 7 and then attach a new HJT log.

I doubt your problem is related to malware but let's dig a little before saying it definitely is not.

    Now please download F-Secure's BlacklightBeta
    • Download fsbl.exe and save it to the Desktop.
    • Once saved... double click fsbl.exe to install the program.
    • Click accept agreement and Click scan
    • This application may trigger a warning from your antivirus. Let the driver load. Wait for it to finish.
    • If it displays any items...don't do anything with them yet. Just hit exit (close)
    • It will drop a log on Desktop that starts with fsbl....big number
    Please attach the BlackLight log.

Heres the rest of the results. Also, when I boot the computer, it takes a long time for windows to load, to connect to the internet, (I have DSL), load pages, etc. I have problems if I use IE, almost every page won't load, it keeps telling me 'to check my connections', yet I can open MSN explorer with no problem, except for the slowness.

That is not an AVG Antispyware log nor is it a BlackLight log. You need to attach these.

Based on everything posted. You are not having malware problems.

Here is the Blacklight log. I changed HJT to analyse, but the log still came out as HJT. As for AVG, the only logs in the file are the one I attached and an error log, I did have problems when I installed it.

    Also clean!

Changing the executable name has nothing to do with the log file name. The default log name is always the same since it is built into the program.

It really does not matter at this point as your problems are not due to malware. You need to work this in the Software Forum or possibly the Hardware Forum.

Thanks for your time and effort. I guess I have some work cut out for me now to resolve this issue. You guys are the best!
