Confused pci express agp?

hello all.
Im a bit confused i just recieved my latest gaming magizine and im a bit confused about pci express.
i have been trying to find a nvidia GeForce ultra 6800 pci express 256mb video card to no avail.
in my seaches i have seen 8x agp and some that say they are agp and pci with 2 cards. i want to make sure i get the right video card to go with a new pci mother board.
the asus mother board i am looking (P5AD2 DELUXE) dosnt say it has a agp slot. and bfg's GeForce ultra 6800 pci express 256mb video card. i see 1x pci express and 16x pci express.
so here i sit confused pls help if you can

1x PCI express is not for video cards(ive never seen a card that is compaitble with it) ... personally i would wait on PCI-E untill the next generation of video cards hit the stores as ive never heard of much benefit from the current generation ... im upgrading and im not bothering with PCI-E or 775 ... but whatever floats your boat

 

Like any other new technology, it takes a while until it actually performs as claimed.

I would definitely wait for a few more months.

Cast your mind back when the first generation of Pentium 4's were first released and how they performed.

PCI Express has a great future, it's just not right now.
