    Hey guys,

Few days back I assmbled a comp. I connected the CDROM as the Master & CDwriter as the slave. The CDWriter does not read any cds and does not write any cds. I might not been doing the jumper settings right. So guys can u pls tell me how to set the jumper to master and how to set the jumper to slave.

    Thank You,

    Kidrocks.

You need to look up the jumper settings for that CD drive.

Generally speaking, the jumper is vertical, and goes over 2 pins in a 6 pin block. The far left pair is usually slave, the middle pair is usually cable select, and the right pair is usually master. The master should be connected to the IDE connector on the end of the cable, and the slave at the one in the middle of the cable.
