    Ok this is just a small question and dont plan to get these crashes resolved here just a small question..

    I am using a AMD 64 3000
    1024MB pc3200
    9800PRO 128MB
    and a my Harddrive is from a Emachines computer, Maxtor 40GB...

    Now back when I got my new motherboard and CPU and took the harddrive from my emachines I stuck it in my second computer as a second drive to format it before installing windows.

    I recall when I formated it, it had some option about Allocation Unit size and I think I changed it but am not 100% sure. I believe i changed it from default to 4000 bytes or something..

    Now after I did this, installed windows and all it says the total size of my Harddrive is 29GB yet it is still suppose to be 40GB..
    Now i do know how emachines can sometimes say like 20GB but its really 19.5 but 11gigs lower? My question is can changing the allocation size from default to 4000 something be what causes the less size? Also is it possible this could cause game crashes or internet explorer errors and such?

    No, and No. By the way, the default allocation size is 4096 bytes. Which is probably what you set it to anyway.

    This is assuming you are running Windows XP: (if not, we'll need to do it differently)

    Start->Run->"diskmgmt.msc"

    This will show you your hard drives, how much is partitioned, and how much is unallocated. My guess is that you made a 30Gb partition or so and you just have 9-10Gb of unallocated space. Tell us what disk management shows you. Or better yet, post a picture if you can.
