lol the title is sort of a 'congrats, it's a boy! (or girl)' reference lol Couldn't think of a good title :p

I've been having a nagging virus for a while...a trojan at one point (hopefully got all the traces >.< I used the methods suggested here at MG). Anyways, I did a scan via Kapersky and came up with this virus and it's not listed in their glossary. I found the file itself, but am not sure if it's safe to just delete or if it'll not really take care of it either way (?) but also, hoping you can tell me how bad it is. And how to remove it, as it's not been showing up in my scans (neither was the trojan, it showed up in Trend's I think).

I shudder to think of doing a restore/format, specially as sometimes it doesn't delete the fragments (specially as sadly, I'm currently on a Dell -.-) I'm really hoping you guys have a suggestion if you got a moment or so. ^_^

Let me paste the virus and path below:

    Infected: not-a-virus:Monitor.Win32.PCTattletale.x

    C:\Windows\Downloaded Installations\{84EEA408-CA95-4E93-83A5-489A71992859}\Lifeorganizer.msi

On a side note, you guys have been my heroes for quite a while :p You've saved quite a few computers I've had over the years, as I've learned a lot via some of the picks & some of the various suggestions that helped me to learn what I do currently know about computers. I wanted to thank you for that ^^.

    Hugs and all that ^_^

lol Feelin kind of dumb, I can't find the edit button.

I'm working on cleaning my computer (Figure the less software, the easier to clean) And I'm finding mutiple folders across various paths (Windows Users - Roaming etc) and I'm wondering a safe way to actually 'clean' the computer and get rid of some of that gunk. I see folders of software I've not had since I got this computer almost a year ago... Any suggestions? :D I'm semi-knowledgable, not enough though... and I'd rather have the 'dummy' versions (easy) so that I know that I'm not messing anything up badly...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :D

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

It's not a virus. Read the message again. It tell you it is not a virus. This is more of a warning for you to take note of the file and for you to decide if you know what it is. If you do then it is probably okay. If you don't then delete it. Also delete the file if you don't need it.
