Hi, I want to connect my Samsung ps-42c7hd plasma tv (42") as a monitor to my pc.

I have a dell dimension 5150 running windows xp sp2

Radeon x600 256mb hypermemory and radeon x600 256mb hyper memory secondary.

Ok so far after advice from others who have done this (successfully) with their tv's we bought an svga cable (the guy from curry's said we could just plug it in and go). We connected the comp to the tv (which has a pc slot) and went into the tv menu which now had a pc area highlighted (was their before but greyed out) alongside the s video etc. Went into this and all we get is 'mode not supported'.

After loads of googling I came across a samsung guide which told me which resolution to set - did all that - still mode not supported.

Can anyone help with this please as it is driving me up the wall trying to find a solution to this.

    Thanks

You may have to enable multiple monitors in the bios.

thanks for the reply, multiple monitors already enabled in bios. Playing around with fragmented information I found from various sources I have managed (by changing display resolutions and restarting computer multiple times) to get the windows logo to start up on the tv but then it all goes black and after few minutes we get 'mode not supported ' again.

Any info on this would be hugely appreciated...a full dummies guide would be perfect (and very suitable to my computer knowledge),

    Thanks again
