I am helping someone with their XP SP3 computer and think a rootkit is preventing it from accessing the internet. The computer has all kinds of trouble connecting finding the DHCP server but when it does, it will send very few or no packets at all. I'm getting the same internet problems in Safe Mode (all users + Admin) and also after restoring to an earlier time. The problems occur in both Wired and Wireless modes and the router, network drivers and NIC cables are all fine.

I've run all kinds of scans but I'm still coming up short. The logs are zipped and attached. Please help, anyone.

Solved it. On a whim I uninstalled the old drivers and reloaded the NIC drivers AGAIN and this time it fixed the problem. Very strange, but I'm happy.
