connection going crazy

Hi there, I'm new to this so please bear with me. I did look at previous post and didn't see anything that related to my problem---sorry if there is and I was in wrong category (computer challenged!) Problem is that whenever I try to connect to the internet I get at least 50 or more windows that automatically start opening up on me. I also can't access any other programs. Once I start deleting the 50 internet windows that have opened and get down to 1 then everything is fine. What is my computer's problem, do I have a virus. I do regularly scan for viruses and have none.

Hi Chia

If with the info you have given me I do feel yes you possibly have a virus on your PC and best area to deal with this is the Malware forum, moved your thread over there, they will wish you to do the below steps and once finished them and have the logs please attach to this thread, this will allow them to rule out malware as the cause.

Also please tell us what types of pages and content popup in these multiple windows, do ist happen all the time and with what browser ( IE or Firefox )

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

applications that are continuously being "opened" is the front "face page" for IE. I will try to run suggested repair, sounds pretty involved however, I will try to figure it out.
